for professionals, artists
This case study demonstrates the collaborative nature of a Craft Foto project—working together to define goals and bring them to life iteratively. On this Studio Plus package project, a tech executive needed to refresh her personal brand. She needed a reimagination of her website, an updated LinkedIn photo, and speaker intro slides for conferences.
We began with a 30-minute need finding session to determine her goals. After the call, we synthesized our notes and began shaping the project design brief—a document containing a clear goal and various creative decisions agreed upon with the client. We started with sketches to explore various options to bring clarity to the vision.
After a couple more calls and final client approval the design brief was complete and we were ready to move into wardrobe, hair, and makeup planning. This involved working with her on a mood board for her website, as well as explorations of LinkedIn placement and slide deck compositions.
During the photo shoot, we took numerous photos with various lighting setups; backgrounds; and expressive explorations before narrowing it down to two looks. This involved review in the studio during the shoot, as well as a round of placement mockups after the photoshoot.
During the mockups round we explored not only vastly different photography compositions, but also styling options for her website. After she chose her preferred “lunar” composition, we then moved into a second round of mockups to then explore various expressive qualities, and worked with her to make a final selection that would best achieve her goals.
After she made her final selections for each placement, we officially closed down the production phase. During post-production, we completed final full re-touching and files preparation: full size master files in TIFF and JPG; speaker intro slides for various situations; JPGs optimized for social media; and more.
